This guide is built from the official site, Steam and store listings. Advice about priorities is editorial judgment, not a measured test; confirmed systems are described as such.
What is on sale, and when
The digital release is live. Steam lists October 28, 2026, and the official Japanese site says October 29 (JST). The physical release follows on November 13 (JST). Platforms are PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam.
It is a single-player game. No multiplayer mode appears in any official product listing, and there is no co-op mentioned on the store pages.
What changes between platforms
The PS5 version supports offline play and DualSense vibration. The Switch 2 version is an estimated 11.2 GB and runs in TV, tabletop, and handheld modes, with save data cloud support.
On PC the requirements are Windows 11 and 40 GB of storage. Minimum is an i5-6600 or Ryzen 5 2600 with 12 GB of RAM and a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 5500 XT. Recommended is an i5-10400 or Ryzen 5 3600 with 16 GB and an RTX 2060 or RX 5700 XT.
The pace leans toward exploration: searching a room matters as much as the fight inside it. Handheld suits that rhythm, and a PC lets you push image quality and remap controls. Neither is the wrong answer, but the demo will tell you which one you want. If you play in short sessions, the Switch 2 version is the one that fits around them.
Languages
On Steam, interface and subtitles cover Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. Full voice is Japanese only.
Check the PS5 and Switch 2 store listings for their own voice and subtitle tables. The North American Switch 2 page lists Japanese and English. If you need Chinese, the Steam version is the one to check. Store tables separate interface, voice, and subtitles, so read the columns instead of assuming one line covers all three.
The demo
A demo is available on Steam now, and PlayStation Store also lists an ANOMALITH demo. A limited-time demo ran in July 2026 for Six One Demo Days, and the store pages are the place to confirm what is still live where you are.
What a demo answers is whether the pace suits you: sparse ammunition, rooms worth searching slowly, a return trip you have to plan. That is the part a review cannot settle on your behalf.
Editions and what is inside
Standard is the base game. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds an 80-page digital art book, a digital select mini soundtrack, and the Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office DLC set.
That DLC set contains the Armed Schoolgirl outfit triple set, a semi-automatic sniper rifle, a double-barreled shotgun, a prototype handgun, and a consumable set. On Steam the DLC, the art book, and the soundtrack are also sold separately.
The physical limited edition, the Countermeasures Office Box, bundles a printed art book, the select mini soundtrack, the same DLC set, and a box illustration. Stock is limited, and not every retailer carries it. If the three extra weapons are the only part you want, the DLC is also sold on its own; check the store page for your region.
Rating and tone
CERO C in Japan, PEGI 16 in Europe as listed on Nintendo UK store page, and Language and Violence descriptors in North America.
The official character profiles describe a child who stops speaking after her parents are killed in front of her. This is horror-adjacent material, and the rating is not decorative. If that sentence changes your decision, it has done its job.
